Privacy Policy

Supreme Shine Auto Detailing (“we”, “us”) is a Canadian mobile and shop auto detailing business at 4399 Lougheed Hwy, Burnaby, BC V5C 3Z2. This policy describes our practices for the website at supremeshineautodetailing.ca and for the personal information we collect to quote, schedule, and perform our services.

We handle personal information under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). PIPA is the main private-sector privacy law for our operations in British Columbia. PIPEDA applies to personal information in commercial activity where federal law governs, including certain disclosures across provincial or national borders.

Information we collect

Quote and contact forms

The contact page and the quote forms on the ceramic coating, paint correction, and maintenance plan pages collect the information you type into them:

• First name and last name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Vehicle year, make, and model
• Selected services, or on a maintenance-plan request the frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) and whether you want interior service, exterior service, or both
• Preferred contact method (text message, email, or phone call) on the contact, ceramic coating, and paint correction forms
• Any optional message you add, which may include a service address, access notes, or other details you choose to share

Submitting a form sends that information to a Supabase Edge Function so we can reply and schedule the work. The request is also marked with the page it came from, such as the contact page or a service page. A service address is collected when you need us to come to the vehicle: include it in the message, tell us by phone or email, or enter it on the online booking page described below.

Calls, texts, and email

If you call or text (604) 360-9813, or email info@supremeshineautodetailing.ca, we keep the contact details and the contents of the conversation that we need to answer you and to do the work.

Online booking

Book Now buttons open a separate scheduler at book.supremeshineautodetailing.ca (a Nexus booking application). Information you enter there is used to book your appointment and can include your name, phone number, email address, vehicle, and the address where a mobile detail will be done.

Analytics

The website runs its own analytics script. It is not Google Analytics. The script sends events to a Supabase Edge Function, which stores them in an analytics database. A page view includes:

• The full page address, path, and title
• The referring page, when the browser provides one
• The browser user agent
• A visitor ID stored in your browser’s local storage (analytics_visitor_id), created on the first visit and reused later
• A session ID stored in session storage (analytics_session_id)
• Campaign parameters from the link you followed, when they are present: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, and utm_term. Those values are kept in session storage for the visit

Returning to a browser tab that was in the background records another page view. Clicks on links and buttons are recorded with the element type, its id and class, and up to 100 characters of the visible text.

The analytics script also reads form fields when a form is submitted. It sends those values to the same analytics endpoint, stored with the event. That copy includes your name, phone number, email address, vehicle, selected options, and message, together with the page address and the visitor and session IDs. This happens in addition to sending the form so we can respond to the quote. The script does this for forms on the site generally, not only the quote forms.

Hosting and technical data

The site is hosted on Vercel. Delivering a page creates standard connection logs, which can include your IP address, user agent, and the address of the page you requested. Requests to Supabase for forms and analytics also expose the connection IP address to that provider, even though the analytics event itself does not contain a field named IP address.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Reply to quote requests, messages, calls, and booking requests
• Schedule and provide mobile detailing, in-shop ceramic coating, paint correction, and maintenance plans
• Contact you by the method you choose
• Keep records of the work, including warranty and maintenance-plan history
• Understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the site
• Protect the site, limit abuse, and fix errors
• Meet legal, tax, and accounting duties

We do not sell personal information. This website does not ask for payment card numbers. Payment for a detail is taken separately, by cash, credit card, debit, or e-transfer.

Consent

We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where PIPEDA or PIPA allows or requires us to proceed without consent. Sending a form, booking an appointment, calling, texting, or emailing us is consent to use that information for the request and for the related purposes in this policy.

You may withdraw consent by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. If you withdraw consent, we may be unable to complete a quote or an appointment. You can also remove the analytics visitor ID by clearing stored site data for this website in your browser. Withdrawing consent or clearing storage does not, by itself, erase records we already hold; ask us if you want those deleted, and we will do so where the law allows.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not set its own HTTP cookies for analytics. The visitor ID is stored in local storage and remains until you clear site data. The session ID and campaign parameters are stored in session storage and are cleared when that browser session ends. These are similar technologies to cookies, and you can block or delete them in your browser settings.

Other services that load with the site may use cookies or receive technical data:

• Google Maps embeds on the contact page, service pages, and city pages. Loading a map sends technical data, including your IP address, to Google. Google may set or read cookies under Google’s privacy policy.
• Google Fonts supplies the Anton typeface. Requesting the font file sends technical data such as your IP address to Google.
• Vercel, as the host, may use cookies or similar tools for security and delivery of the site. See the Vercel privacy policy.

Who receives information

We share personal information with service providers that help us run the business and the website:

• Supabase receives quote and contact form submissions through an Edge Function and stores analytics events, including form fields captured by the analytics script. Supabase may process this information outside Canada, including in the United States. Its privacy terms are at supabase.com/privacy.
• Vercel hosts this website and processes connection logs needed to deliver and secure it. Vercel may process that information outside Canada.
• Google receives technical data when Maps embeds and Google Fonts load.
• The online scheduler at book.supremeshineautodetailing.ca receives whatever you submit there to book an appointment.

These providers are permitted to use the information to perform services for us. When personal information is processed outside British Columbia or Canada, it may be subject to the laws of that place, which can include lawful access by courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities. We also disclose personal information when a statute, regulation, or court order requires it.

How long we keep information

We keep customer and quote records for as long as we need them to provide the service, stand behind the work, and meet tax and legal record-keeping duties. Business records that support a tax year are generally kept for six years after the end of that year, which is the period the Canada Revenue Agency expects businesses to retain records. When a record is no longer needed, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

Analytics events, including any form fields stored inside them, are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted or de-identified, unless we need a particular record longer to investigate abuse, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA you may:

• Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Withdraw consent to further collection, use, or disclosure, subject to legal and contractual limits
• Receive a response within 30 days, or a notice if a permitted extension is required
• Ask how we apply this policy and challenge our compliance

Contact us using the details below. We may need enough information to confirm we are dealing with you before we release or change a record. If we refuse a request, we will explain the reason where the law requires us to, including when releasing a record would reveal someone else’s personal information.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia. Where PIPEDA applies, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Quote forms and analytics events are sent to Supabase over HTTPS. Access to those records is limited to our team and to the providers that host them. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services and this website are directed at adults who arrange vehicle care. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We will post updates on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change requires fresh consent under PIPEDA or PIPA, we will ask for it before using personal information in the new way.
