Book mobile detailing at a Vancouver workplace or condo. You need permission for our unit and space to park beside your car. We bring water and power.
Busy Vancouver drivers often cannot spare a half day for a shop drop-off. The car sits in a condo parkade, an office visitor lot, or a workplace stall while you are in meetings or working from home upstairs. That is exactly when mobile detailing helps: we come to you, as long as the property allows a mobile unit and there is space to park beside your vehicle.
This post is about permission and parking, not a city guide and not a package shootout. If you want work done at a workplace or condo in Metro Vancouver, here is what actually has to be true before we roll up.
What "at work or condo" really requires
Mobile detailing at a building or office park is not the same as a private driveway. Three things matter every time:
- Permission for a mobile unit on the property. We need the green light from whoever controls the lot: strata, building management, employer, or landlord. A verbal OK from reception is not always enough if security or parking rules say otherwise. Confirm before you book.
- Space to park alongside your vehicle. Our unit needs room beside the car so we can open doors, work panels and move safely. A tight stall with cars hard against both sides, or a spot blocked by pillars and carts, usually will not work.
- Access to the car. Keys or fob as you arrange with us, plus a clear window of time so we are not waiting on a locked vehicle while you are in a meeting.
We are self-contained. Onboard water and power mean you do not supply a hose from the building or an extension cord from a lobby outlet. That is deliberate: many condos and offices forbid tying into building utilities. What we need from you is access and space, not plumbing.
Condo parking: practical, not legal advice
Condo and apartment buildings vary wildly across Vancouver, Burnaby and the rest of the Lower Mainland. We are not giving legal or strata advice. We are flagging what usually makes or breaks a mobile visit.
Visitor parking vs your stall. Some buildings only allow detailing in visitor stalls. Others want the work done in your assigned stall if it is wide enough. Ask management which they prefer. If your stall is underground with no room beside the car, visitor parking (with permission) is often the better fit.
Strata and building rules. Quiet hours, no-commercial-vehicle rules, and "no washing in the parkade" policies show up often. Read your strata bylaws or ask the manager in plain language: "Can a self-contained mobile detailer park beside a resident's vehicle for a few hours?" Share the answer with us when you book so we plan around it.
Where the work happens. Detailing happens at the vehicle, not in an elevator lobby, hallway or amenity room. We do not haul mats and chemicals through common areas as a workaround for a bad stall. If the only legal parking leaves no space beside the car, that location is not a fit for mobile work that day.
Timing. Mid-morning or mid-afternoon on a weekday often means quieter parkades than the 5 PM rush. If your building has quiet hours that start early, say so when you book.
Workplace and office parks
Offices and light industrial lots are often easier than dense condo parkades, but they still need a clear OK.
Employer or building permission. Some sites welcome vendors; others require a visitor pass, insurance confirmation, or a named contact on site. Get that sorted before the appointment day. If security turns us away at the gate, we cannot start.
Loading and visitor spots. A marked visitor stall beside your car (or a loading area you are allowed to use) usually works better than taking someone else's reserved spot. Do not block fire lanes, hydrants, or accessible parking.
Office hours. Align the detailing window with when you can hand over keys and when the lot is open. If the parkade gate closes at 6 PM and the job needs more time, we need to know that up front.
Not every workplace is a go. High-security campuses, underground lots with height or hose bans that also ban commercial vans, and sites with zero spare adjacent space are poor candidates. A private driveway or a wider surface lot is often simpler when the office parkade will not cooperate.
What makes sense on light-rain October days
Metro Vancouver October weather is mixed. Our mobile detailing FAQ is clear: light rain is usually fine for interior work; heavy rain or extreme weather means we contact you to reschedule. We do not guarantee a dry window.
On a damp but workable day, interior-focused packages are the practical pick while the car is at the office or condo:
- Interior Refresh when the cabin mainly needs vacuum, mats, wipe-downs and glass.
- Interior Deep Clean when wet shoes, grit and stained mats have piled up through the rainy stretch.
Exterior washes and protectant packages make sense when the forecast and the lot allow us to work the paint safely. If the sky opens up mid-job, we follow the same weather rule as any mobile visit: we contact you rather than force exterior work in a downpour.
Starting prices and package details live on the mobile detailing page (GST extra). Mention whether you are booking a condo or workplace when you book so we can plan space and timing, not just the package name.
Mobile at the building vs shop work at Burnaby
Workplace and condo visits are for mobile services: washes, decontamination, interior work and the mobile packages listed on that page. We come to you across the Lower Mainland when permission and space line up.
Ceramic coating and full paint correction are different. Those are in-shop only at our Burnaby studio (4399 Lougheed Hwy). System X and multi-stage correction need controlled lighting, clean water and a dust-managed bay. They are not done from the van in a condo parkade or office lot.
If you want both a clean cabin at work and a ceramic coating later, treat them as separate plans: mobile for the day-to-day refresh, then a studio drop-off for coating or correction. Mixing those expectations in one driveway visit does not work.
How to book a workplace or condo visit
- Confirm permission and a stall with space beside the car.
- Book online or review packages on mobile detailing.
- In the notes, say condo or workplace, the city or neighbourhood, and any gate, pass or quiet-hour constraints.
- Arrange keys or fob access for the appointment window.
That one line about location type saves back-and-forth on the day. We plan for parkade height, visitor rules and whether interior-only is the safer call if rain is in the forecast.
Ready when the lot is ready
If your car lives at a Vancouver workplace or condo and you cannot easily get to a shop, mobile detailing is built for that, provided the property allows our unit and we have room to work beside the vehicle. Check permission, check space, then book.
