Set a bi-weekly maintenance plan before Metro Vancouver's wet months. Recurring interior, exterior, or both visits, pause anytime, same slot each time.
October in Metro Vancouver means more wet shoes, more road film and less patience for a car that looks neglected between one-off bookings. Leaf grit collects in mats. Brake dust builds on wheels. Glass hazes from damp mornings. If you wait until the cabin or paint looks bad, you are always catching up.
A maintenance plan flips that pattern. Instead of rebooking every time the car tips past "good enough," you lock a recurring visit. Bi-weekly is our most popular rhythm for a reason: frequent enough to stay ahead of fall weather, flexible enough that you are not paying for a visit every seven days if you do not need it.
This post is about setting that plan up before the wet months settle in for the long stretch. Winter road salt talk is still ahead for most Lower Mainland drivers, so the focus here is wet-season upkeep now.
Why bi-weekly fits Vancouver's wet season
One-off detailing works when the weather is mild and the car stays relatively clean. October through the rainy months is different. Moisture, road film and cabin grit arrive on a shorter cycle. Two weeks of wet commuting is often enough to undo a single deep clean if nothing follows it.
Bi-weekly visits give you a predictable reset:
- Exterior stays washed and sealed more often, so film and brake dust do not bake into a multi-week layer.
- Interior gets vacuumed, wiped and glass-cleaned before wet mats and grit become a permanent smell or stain problem.
- Both on the same visit when you want the full reset every two weeks.
Weekly is available if you want the car pristine every seven days and priority same-week rescheduling when life gets in the way. Monthly is available if you only need a lighter cadence. Most drivers who ask us about fall upkeep land on bi-weekly because it matches how quickly Metro Vancouver weather dirties a daily driver without over-scheduling the calendar.
What each visit can cover
Every plan lets you choose interior, exterior, or both for each visit. You can switch later. Tell your detailer before the next appointment and we adjust.
Interior visits typically cover vacuuming, surface wipe-downs, glass cleaning, leather conditioning when needed, and an odor refresh so the cabin does not feel like a wet locker room after a week of rain.
Exterior visits cover a hand wash, wheel cleaning, tire dressing and a spray sealant so the finish stays glossy and easier to maintain between fuller protectant or coating work.
Both pairs the cabin reset with the wash and sealant on the same scheduled slot. That is the practical pick heading into a stretch of wet weeks when shoes, dogs, grocery runs and dark evenings all hit the same vehicle.
Plan visits are maintenance, not a substitute for a full shop paint correction or a System X ceramic coating. Those are separate, in-shop services at our Burnaby studio when the paint needs correction or long-term protection. The plan keeps the day-to-day clean while you decide if a studio drop-off is next.
How the plan actually works
Starting is simple. You pick frequency (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) and service type (interior, exterior or both). We lock a recurring day and time. Same slot each visit, so you always know when we arrive.
A few rules that matter for real life:
- Month-to-month, no long-term contract. Pause for vacation, adjust frequency, or cancel with a quick call or text. You are not locked into a year.
- You do not need to be home as long as we have access to the vehicle and enough space to work around it. Many plan customers have us detail while they are at work or away.
- Dedicated detailer. The same person learns your vehicle and preferences, which matters when you care about how mats are left, which products you prefer on leather, or which wheels need extra attention.
- Flexible rescheduling on bi-weekly and monthly. Weekly members get priority same-week rescheduling when something comes up. That is rescheduling support for plan members, not a same-day or next-day guarantee for new one-off jobs.
We are self-contained for mobile visits: onboard water and power. You do not supply a hose or an extension cord. What we need is vehicle access and room to work, the same basics as any mobile detailing visit.
Plan pricing without the guesswork
Recurring plans lock in a lower per-visit rate than booking one-off details. The more frequently we visit, the more you save. Exact rates depend on vehicle size and whether you choose interior, exterior or both. We quote that when you set up the plan.
Fleet and multi-vehicle discounts exist for households or businesses with several cars. Amounts are custom, so tell us how many vehicles you have when you enquire and we build the plan around that.
Live package starting prices for one-off mobile work, including the member line where it applies, sit on the mobile detailing page (GST extra). For the plan itself, use the maintenance plan page and a quick call so the quote matches your vehicle and cadence.
Plan vs one-off booking vs shop work
It helps to keep the three paths clear:
| Need | Best fit |
|---|---|
| Car gets dirty every couple of weeks and you hate rebooking | Bi-weekly (or weekly) maintenance plan |
| One heavy clean after a messy stretch | One-off mobile detailing package |
| Swirls, dull clear coat, or long-term paint protection | In-shop paint correction or System X ceramic coating at the Burnaby studio |
A maintenance plan does not apply ceramic coating from the van. System X and multi-stage correction need controlled lighting, clean water and a dust-managed bay at 4399 Lougheed Hwy, Burnaby. If you want both a clean daily driver through the rains and a coating later, treat them as separate plans: recurring mobile upkeep now, studio drop-off when you are ready.
October is a smart time to start the recurring piece. Wet months stretch ahead. Road salt talk is coming for some routes, but you do not need to wait for that season to begin keeping mats, glass and paint on a schedule.
How to start before the wet stretch deepens
- Decide weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, and whether you want interior, exterior or both on each visit.
- Open the maintenance plan page and review the options, or call us directly.
- Tell us your city or neighbourhood, vehicle type, preferred day or time window, and whether we will need keys or fob access when you are not present.
- We confirm the first visit and lock the recurring slot.
If you already book mobile details now and then, say so. We can often turn a familiar cadence into a formal plan that keeps what already works for your driveway or workplace.
Ready to stay ahead of the wet months
Waiting until the cabin smells damp or the paint looks flat means you are always recovering. A bi-weekly maintenance plan keeps the reset on the calendar so Metro Vancouver's fall weather does not dictate when the car looks presentable.
See plan options on maintenance plan, or call (604) 360-9813 Monday to Sunday, 8 AM to 8 PM, to lock a recurring slot before the wet stretch settles in.
